They can then be searched and retrieved based on these fields
or the full text of the document. Automated indexing can be used
to pull index fields off of the scanned document to automatically
route to the correct folder. Plus the systems offer security,
regulatory compliance and disaster recovery.
Send Information Over the
Internet
Instead of costly overnight shipping, documents can be scanned
to email addresses. The recipient receives the documents as an
attachment to the email. Popular file formats that can be read
on any computer are used such as Adobe Acrobat .pdf and .tiff.
Eliminate Re-typing
Combined with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software, our
systems can scan documents directly into applications like Microsoft
Word or Excel. Original fonts and images are preserved allowing
the user to edit the documents.
Automate Data Entry from
Forms
Entering data from forms is a monotonous job. Forms Automation
software allows forms to be scanned. Data is read off of the forms
using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) for typing and ICR (Intelligent
Character Recognition) for printing. The date is then automatically
routed to the database.
